This year Rochester Lodge #1091 is celebrating our 100th birthday. The dates of the celebration are August 22 - 23 - 24, 2008 (Friday - Saturday - Sunday).

Tenative plans are for a dinner - dance on Friday evening: Saturday being the longest day as we will be dedicating our new lodge, have Grand Lodge and State Officers as well as our mayor in attendance. There will be a banquet with a short skit by the Jolly Corks group, followed by a dinner - dance. Sunday will be geared to a family theme, with hamburgers, brats & corn on the cob for lunch with free pop, entertainment, and games for the kids. In addition to this we are hoping that the Drum & Bugle Corp will be able to provide additional entertainment

We do need financial help and we are asking for a cash donation to help finance the celebration. The levels of donors are as follows:

Lecturing Knight Level ............$ 5 - $24
Loyal Knight Level .................$25 - $49
Leading Knight Level ............. $50 - $74
Exalted Ruler Level ................$75 - $99
Grand Exalted Ruler Level ......$100 and over.

Please make your donation to the "1091 100 Year Anniversary Celebration" and mail it to the lodge or drop the donation in the membership box directly to the left as you enter the bar area. Be sure to include your name and the name of your spouse so you get the proper credit. Your name will be listed in the souvenir booklet that will be available.

PARTY...PARTY...PARTY!!!!!!!

Mark your calendars now...August 22-23-24. We are celebrating our 100th birthday(it only comes once you know). Following is the agenda for this great celebration weekend:

Fri., Aug. 22: Chicken and ribs dinner followed by dancing, music by “Get Neked 2". Dinner served from 5:30-7:30....cost $10.00, you must purchase your tickets by Aug. 19th.

Sat., Aug. 23rd: Dedication of our new lodge starting at 2:30 PM. Dedication of “100 Year” plaque to follow. Drum & Bugle Corp entertaining starting about 4-4:30 or so. Prime rib dinner starting at 6:00 followed by a “Jolly Corks” skit and then dancing to music by the “Dreamers”. Become a “Jolly Cork” and win a special souvenir bottle of wine with our 100 yr label (we are giving away a lot of them). Dinner tickets must be purchased by Aug. 20th....cost is $20.00.

Sun., Aug. 24: Bring the entire family, special brats and hamburgers with corn on the cob, starting at about 1:00 PM. Adults $6.00, kids 6-12 yrs $3.00, 5 yrs. And under free. Free pop for the kids and free beer for our members and their guests (as long as it lasts). Clowns and games for the kids and the Drum & Bugle Corp will again entertain (providing their lips will let them). Tickets for Sunday can be purchased in advance but it is not necessary. However, we do need to have some type of count for Sun., so at least call and sign up to attend by Aug. 20th.

Dress for all of the days will be casual (it’s summer & hot you know) so purchase your tickets now (available at the bar) today. This is your celebration and your lodge and it will only be successful if you “come on out” and support the weekend (that means all 3 days if possible).
