What We Do
Youth
Elks Youth
Camp
We send 12 boys and 12 girls to camp every year. All
expenses are paid for a week at camp for kids that otherwise would not be able
to enjoy a camping experience. Click on the Elks Youth Camp link for more

Local, State and National Hoop Shoot
Contest. (2009 contest January 4th at RCTC Field
House).
The Elks have a Hoop Shoot program every year for boys and
girls ages 9 to 13, which Rochester Lodge participates in. Click on the

Local, State and National Scholarships.
Rochester Lodge has a
scholarship program. Click on Scholarships link for more

Student of The Month ---
One student each month from each of the 4 High Schools.
Student of The Year ----- One student each year from
each of the 4 High Schools.
Outstanding Student ----- A special award.
Overall Student of
the Year ---- One awarded

Eagle Scout
Recognition Banquet.
Rochester Lodge presents each Eagle
Scout an American flag and a certificate at a special banquet and ceremony each
year. This year's banquet will be on November 29th at 6:00 PM at the Elks Lodge.

Americanism
Twice each year our
members visit the Veterans Hospital in Hastings and take donated items to
distribute to the Vets.
We have pledged to support our troops and
especially National Guard Company B from Rochester.
We
presented a Medal of Valor to 3 recipients.
We placed an Americanism
Diorama at the Rochester library. Click link for

Community
Activities
In January we hold a breakfast with
proceeds going to the Eagles Cancer Telethon.
In April we participated in an
Earth Day neighborhood cleanup.
In September we collected school supplies for
the RunningbStart Program.
In October we collected food for Channel
One.
In November we are collecting winter wear for children at Elton Hills
School.
As an ongoing project, we collect eyeglasses which are turned over to
the Lion's Club for their project.
We allow 501C organizations free use of
our lodge for their meetings. Kiwanis, DAV, etc.
